Less than 2 years ago Dustin Pedroia left the PawSox, making his debut in major leagues with the Boston Red Sox, where he has been racking up accolades since then. The image of Pedroia, the starting second baseman for the Boston Red Sox and the 2007 American League Rookie of the Year, will reappear at McCoy Stadium on Saturday August 2 in the form of thousands of Dustin Pedroia bobblehead dolls, when the PawSox take on the Scranton WB Yankees at 6:05 pm.
4000 The first young fans (age 14 and under) will receive a Dustin Pedroia bobblehead doll night, courtesy Bristol County Savings Bank and NBC-10. This high quality collector edition bobblehead dolls honoring the many achievements Pedroia.
The first member of Boston 2004 Draft class to reach the majors, Pedroia was a postseason International League All-Star as a member of the Pawtucket Red Sox in 2006. Pedroia played for the PawSox until August 22, 2006, when he joined the list of Boston Red Sox for the remainder of the 2006 season. When it was originally drafted in State Arizona Pedroia was quoted as saying "It has been a goal of mine since I was a child to play professional baseball and now it's a dream come true."
An inspiration to children around the world, Pedroia has been playing in this dream in a big way. In 2007 the World Series, became the 2nd player to ever hit a leadoff HR in a Series Global game, in his first bat, and now one of the best hitters in the major with a batting average of .314.

Bobblehead Doll Night highlights the PawSox have no affiliation with the Red Sox. Former PawSox players honored through the years in Bobblehead Doll Night are former and current members of the Red Sox: Trot Nixon, Derek Lowe, Jason Varitek, Tim Wakefield, Jonathan Papelbon, Kevin Youkilis, and this year, Dustin Pedroia. Many of these players have been part of the recent Red Sox World Champion team.
